Why Truth Matters.

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14, NIV). Whether or not you call yourself a Christian, are you sure of what will happen to you when you pass from this life? Are you going to heaven or hell? But what if you do not believe in heaven or hell, does that matter? The reality is that truth is not dependent on what we think. This is why truth matters, because there are only two choices, and the gate and path that leads to heaven is narrow, while the road that leads to hell is broad and wide. Since only a few find this narrow path, it is essential to understand how to enter that small gate and how to follow that narrow path that leads to life. I would encourage you to listen to the following sermon by Voddie Baucham, Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Zambia, to continue to seek and to find the truth of the Bible. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6, NIV).
